Happy Labor Day!
HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!
This weekend is the time some people wrap up the last few days at the pool or beach, and just enjoy being around family. Enjoying the day off from work (for those who are so fortunate), and taking a quick vacation getaway, before kids start school. The temperature drops, giving us another sign that fall is on the way, but before that happens, Kyle and I love to have our family and friends over for our annual Labor Day Luau. We bring out the Tiki Bar, put up the volleyball net, and take a dip in the pool. The DJ plays music in the background, the smell of Bar-B-Que in the air, and kids playing and running around like they own the place. Towards the end of the night we like to gather around the fire pit, make s’mores and tell stories. By the end of the night the adults are tired from having just as much fun as the kids.
Yesterday was no exception! We had a blast! The guest turnout was great, and there was a lot of dancing and laughter. Catching up with family and friends always makes for a great time. All of the kids had fun and they devoured the candy/dessert table. So, it’s safe to say they were on a “sugar-high” all day and night long. I did see a few adults going back for seconds on the sweets too (I won't call out any names tho...lol...your secret is safe with me). My boys (KJ and KD) woke up wanting to have another party today …lol… “not happening guys, mommy and daddy are wiped out” :). I am extremely happy with how everything turned out this year. As I look forward to next year's party, ideas are flowing with what I should add to the decor and activities. I can't wait to put these plans in to action, so you will have to stay tuned to see what I come up with.
Now enough about my family and I :) , what did you do this Labor Day weekend? Is there anything you want to do or start doing next year?
